Welcome to the
GREEN BAY AREA
OSTOMY SUPPORT GROUP
What is an ostomy?
An ostomy is a surgical procedure used to create an opening (called a stoma) made in the abdomen to allow urine or feces to leave the body, when the natural organ has been bypassed or removed due to disease or injury.Who we are:
We are an affiliated support group of the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc. (UOAA), serving the Green Bay, northern Wisconsin and upper peninsula of Michigan areas. We publish a newsletter and hold support group meetings. We invite you to attend our group meetings to meet some of our chapter members who are eager to share their experiences of, and tips for, living with an ostomy or continent diversion. You do not have to be a member to attend - all are welcome.
